Chinook Villa is a 46 unit condo-like apartment being built by Eagle Builders of Blackfalds, AB. The Charis Village Board members made a careful commitment to provide seniors with homes that are safe, durable, comfortable and energy-efficient, and with these goals in mind, they chose an Eagle Built structure. The precast concrete "sandwich panel" walls provide extremely high durability and energy efficiency, exceeding even the strictest building codes. The concrete mass provides exceptional R-value, meaning the building will keep an even temperature with the least possible use of energy.
The thick walls also insulate sound so that you don't have to listen to your neighboor's bagpipe practices, and they don't have to listen to your hard-of-hearing hubby's TV! Even more importantly, this building is classed as non-combustible with its concrete and steel framing.
